Wyoming delivers 7 of its 12 to Obama

— Barack Obama continued his string of victories in caucus states on Saturday, beating Hillary Rodham Clinton in Wyoming.

The victory, while in a state with only 12 pledged delegates at stake, was welcome news for the Obama campaign as it sought to blunt Clinton's momentum coming off her Tuesday victories in Ohio and Texas.

Wyoming Democrats, usually a lonely bunch in an overwhelmingly Republican state, basked in their moment in the spotlight. Party officials reported extremely high turnout across the state.

In Sweetwater County, more than 500 people crowded into a high school auditorium, and as many more lined up outside. In Casper, a hotel meeting room with a capacity of 500 couldn't begin to handle the crowd. In Cheyenne, scores of late arrivals were turned away when party officials stopped allowing people to get in line at 9 a.m.
