Advisory board to announce plans for Jewish Cultural Center

CONWAY - Hendrix College's inaugural meeting of the advisory board for the Jewish Cultural Center will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the school's Wellness and Athletics Center.

The Jewish Cultural Center will be part of the $22.8 million Student Life and Technology Center. Modeled after similar programs at liberal arts colleges across the nation, such as Vanderbilt University, Duke Universityand Emory University, the Jewish Cultural Center will be the first of its type in Arkansas.

The advisory board includes representatives from Hendrix College and the Jewish Federation of Arkansas.
