A variety of nonprofit arts organizations in the Spa City will participate in the casual, festive event, which permits children to proceed at their own pace as they select the activities they wish to try.

Members of the ArkansasSculptors Guild, who are new to the event, will teach children the secrets of using aluminum foil to create sculptures. Children's Pocket Theater participants will use cut-out props from its coming production of The Wizard of Oz to turn children into tin men, lions and scarecrows.

Garvan Woodland Gardens volunteers will bring fragrant flowers for young hands to turn into potpourri ingredients. The Mid-America Science Museum will explore the science of art as they paint body silhouettes using food coloring and shaving cream. The Hot Springs Music Festival booth will offer decorating tips and kazoo instructions. The Hot Springs Documentary Film Institute will present an interactive documentary film experience.

The Arkansas Children's Hospital Circle of Friends will show off "finger casts" as a different interpretation of art. Hot Springs Jazz Society members will instruct music fans in creating a rhythm instrument. The Girl Scouts of Garland County will encourage participants to paint real parachutes, and "found items" will become recycled art at their booth.

Organizers suggest that participants "dress to get messy."
