Authorities find human remains in Jacksonville

Inmate tip leads police on search

Acting on a tip from an inmate, officers with machetes and sticks searched two Jacksonville sites Wednesday and uncovered a set of human remains at one location near an industrial park.

Jacksonville police confirmed that information from the Faulkner County sheriff's office led them to an area off South Redmond Road and a second location off Loop Road and Anne Lane.

The Pulaski County coroner later confirmed that one set of remains had been found at the Redmond location.
