Heart Clinic Arkansas welcomes two physicians

— Dr. Bradley R. Hughes and Dr. Eric J. Robinson joined Dr. Leon Roby Blue and Dr. David M. Evans in practice at Heart Clinic Arkansas in Searcy. These four cardiologists offer a complete line of heart services, including general diagnostic cardiology, coronary angiography, preventive cardiology, pacemakers, nuclear cardiology, EKGs, echocardiograms, cardiac catheterization, stress tests and lipid profiles. They see patients at White County Medical Center as part of the active medical staff.

Hughes is a graduate of Searcy High School, Baylor University and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He completed fellowships in adult cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology in Little Rock at the University Hospital of Arkansas and John L. McClellan VA Hospital.

"I chose to specialize in cardiology because it offers the ability to have an immediate impact on patients' lives," Hughes said. "If a patient comes in having a heart attack, a cardiologist can make a very positive difference for the patient in a short amount of time."

Hughes specializes in coronary and peripheral artery angioplasty as well as diagnostic and nuclear cardiology.

"I am happy to be able to serve patients in the community where I grew up, and I am glad to be in close proximity to family," Hughes said.

Robinson is a graduate of Harrison High School, the University of Arkansas and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He completed a fellowship in cardiology at Texas A&M Health Science Center, Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple,Texas.

"Cardiology gives me the opportunity to form long-term relationships with patients. I enjoy building rapport with patients through follow-up visits," Robinson said. "Cardiology is very interesting to me."

Robinson specializes in general, diagnostic andnuclear cardiology as well as cardiac rhythm and device management.

Robinson and his wife Lisa have three children - Grant, 10, Caleb, 6, and Hannah, almost 2.

"I am excited about the opportunities in Searcy," Robinson said. "My family is looking forward to being a part of this community."
