KELLY MARIE DEGOSTIN MICHAEL THOMAS MARCHAND

— Kelly Marie DeGostin and Michael Thomas Marchand were united in marriage at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, in Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church. Monsignor Royce R. Thomas officiated.

Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Robert John DeGostin Jr., 6505 Pleasant Place. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. William Thomas Kelly of Little Rock, the late Mr. Kelly, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert John DeGostin of Bristol, Conn.

The bridegroom is the son of Mary Peterson Marchand of Bossier City, La., and Alexander Joseph Marchand III of Cordova, Tenn. His grandparents are Mrs. Alexander Joseph Marchand of Bossier City, the late Mr. Marchand, the late Mr. and Mrs. Huey A. Doston of Jena, La., and the late Thomas Daniel Peterson.

Two pedestal arrangements of bells of Ireland, snapdragons, hydrangeas, lilies, dahlias and roses were placed on each side of the altar. Music was by organist Fred Graham, cantor Kathy Powers and vocalists Erin Herbst Frost and George Herbst.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory gown of Chantilly and Alencon lace. The fitted Empire bodice with asweetheart neckline had hand-beaded shoulder straps of Alencon lace. The trumpet skirt extended from a beaded waistline to a scalloped hem and sweep train. Her ivory waist-length illusion veil was trimmed in Alencon lace. Her bouquet was filled with pale pink open garden roses.

Erin DeGostin of Little Rock served as her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Julie Lee of Santa Monica, Calif.; Amanda Marchand of Bossier City, sister of the bridegroom; and Lilah Rosenblum of Silver Spring, Md.

They wore tea-length dresses of kiwi duchesse-satin and carried bouquets of pink and white gerbera daisies.

Best man was Daniel Marchand of Cordova, brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Timothy Herbst and David Meaney, both of Dallas; and Nicholas Vaughan of Austin, Texas.

Guests were seated by Troy Combs of Mountain Home, Idaho; Thomas Fletcher of McKinney, Texas; Mark St. John of Choudrant, La.; and Scott Walker of Dallas.

A reception at the church's Allen Center followed the ceremony. The buffet held an arrangement of dahlias, roses, hydrangeasand bells of Ireland in shades of white, green and pink. Guest tables held silver baskets each holding a candle and filled with pink, green and white flowers, while other tables held mirrored rounds, candles and rose petals. Assisting were Margie Alsbrook, Olivia Easterling, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Enderlin, Christine Frost and Mike Gowen.

The bride has a bachelor's degree in Spanish from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass., and a master's in Hispanic linguistics from the University of Arizona at Tucson. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arkansas School of Law at Fayetteville with a juris doctorate and received a master of laws degree in taxation from New York University, New York. She is a lawyer at Williams & Anderson PLC.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University at Ruston, La., with a bachelor's degree in finance. He was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha and Delta Sigma Pi. He is an institutional sales/statistical arbitrage trader at Williams Financial Group in Dallas.

The couple will live in Dallas after a wedding trip to Turks and Caicos Islands.
