LITTLE ROCK — An apparent home invasion left an unidentified man dead late Friday after he was beaten by the people inside the apartment, Jonesboro police.
A news release from the Jonesboro Police Department says officers were dispatched to 302 Calion St. about 11 p.m. Friday in response to a home invasion.
"They were advised the suspect in the home invasion was attacked by the victims in the apartment," the news release said. "When officers arrived, they noticed one black male on the floor unresponsive."
Police said the man was taken to St. Bernards Regional Medical Center where he later died.
Police are still investigating the case and would not release names Saturday, the release said.
