NLR police involved in deadly shooting

North Little Rock police officers shot a man at a Levy intersection Tuesday night, killing him.

The man, identified as Bryan Woods Devenport, 25, was armed with a semiautomatic rifle when the two officers pulled over the car he was riding in around 9 p.m.

A half pound of marijuana was recovered from the 2000 Lincoln LS that was driven by Chris Price. Narcotics officers had opened an investigation into drug activity involving Price after getting a tip, and pulled him over at West 47th and Allen streets.

Price faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

Names have not been released for the two officers involved in the shooting. They have been placed on leave.
