LITTLE ROCK — Poodle skirts, greased-back hair and leather jackets were all the rage Aug. 22 at A Vintage Affair: The Fabulous '50s, a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
The 350 guests of the event at the Pleasant Valley Country Club dined on a 1950s-inspired spread of onion rings, tater tots, chicken tenders, pigs in a blanket and mini hamburgers. Red plastic baskets lined with red plaid waxed paper - just like at a '50s drive-in - were used instead of plates.
The event raised $63,000 for the American Cancer Society.
