LITTLE ROCK — The Elton John/Billy Joel “Face 2 Face” concert scheduled for Saturday at North Little Rock’s Verizon Arena has been canceled.
Promoter Live Nation and Verizon Arena officials said Joel is currently unable to tour for “medical reasons,” adding that “scheduling conflicts will preclude the concert from being rescheduled.”
Refunds are available at point of purchase.
Promoters have had to cancel several of John and Joel’s summer and fall tour dates because John has been battling an E. coli infection and flu. A cancellation earlier this week in San Jose, Calif., was the first related to Joel’s health, however.
John and Joel, citing a scheduling conflict, also canceled a March 2003 concert at what was then Alltel Arena.
