— Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has announced it will add 200 jobs to its Texarkana operation and start running the plant around the clock, seven days a week.

The company said in a news release Monday that it is seeing increased demand for its tires. The added work is to start Jan. 1.

In December, the Texarkana plant's 1,400 workers agreed to a contract that made significant concessions, including a three-year wage freeze and changes to their health plan. Last month, Cooper announced a $6 million expansion at Tupelo.
