— Dennis Earl Bradford, the North Little Rock man arrested Tuesday in a 19-year-old attempted capital murder case in Galveston County, Texas, waived extradition Wednesday morning in Little Rock District Court.

Authorities said Bradford, 40, who is charged with kidnapping, raping and slashing the throat of an 8-year-old girl in Dickinson, Texas, in 1990, will be taken to the south Texas county Wednesday or Thursday.

FBI investigators identified Bradford as a suspect through DNA taken from the scene of the 1990 crime. It matched a sample taken from Bradford when he was convicted in Arkansas of a 1996 kidnapping.
