Jurors have resumed deliberations in the case of an Arkansas doctor charged in a bombing outside the home of the state medical board chairman.

The jury began its second day of deliberations Friday in the case of Dr. Randeep Mann, who’s charged in the February 2009 bombing that seriously hurt Dr. Trent Pierce. Mann faces up to life in prison if convicted.

Prosecutors claim Mann planned the attack in retaliation after the board revoked his right to prescribe narcotics. Defense attorneys argue that no forensic evidence links Mann to the homemade bomb that blew up in Pierce’s West Memphis driveway.

Jurors received the case Thursday morning and deliberated until late afternoon without reaching a verdict.
