NORTH LITTLE ROCK — Former Alaska governor and vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin will appear at a fundraiser in North Little Rock next month.
Palin will be the keynote speaker at "Arkansas Welcomes Sarah Palin," a Feb. 16 Republican Party of Arkansas event at Verizon Arena, party officials announced today.
Republican Party of Arkansas Chairman Doyle Webb said Palin's appearance marks the first state party event she has participated in since embarking on her book tour.
"We see it as a great fundraising and spirit-raising opportunity," he said. "We think she will motivate conservatives all over the state."
The party has already been inundated with people interested in attending, Webb said.
"Our phones have been ringing off the wall," he said.
General admission tickets for speech range from $35 to $65 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster or the Verizon Arena box office starting Friday.
Dinner and reception tickets are $175 and $500 respectively and include a photo with Palin.
