— LR man arrested in July 1 robbery

Police arrested a 32-yearold man Friday who they say robbed a woman at gunpoint inside her southwest Little Rock home, according to an arrest report.

Martinous Deshaun Lane of 6501 Woodfield Road in Little Rock was arrested on warrants charging him with aggravated robbery and theft in the July 1 robbery of Stacy Dawson, 39, at the Willow Creek Apartments, 7515 Geyer Springs Road, the report said.

The report accuses Lane of forcing his way into Dawson’s apartment and taking her money at gunpoint. Lane was being held Friday evening at the Pulaski County jail. Bail had not been set.

Homeless couple

accused of theft

A homeless man and woman were arrested Friday evening after police say they stole a 14-year-old girl’s purse in the River Market district in downtown Little Rock and then used her mother’s credit card several times, according to an arrest report.

Danna Shewbuirt, 31, and Richard Alan Griggs, 44, each face five counts of fraudulent use of a credit card after Shewbuirt purportedly took the purse Thursday night after the girl set it down to take pictures with her mother at East Markham and Scott streets, the report said.

The mother and daughter, who list an address in Bossier City, La., said the purse contained an iPod, digital camera, sunglasses and the mother’s credit card.

On Friday, Shewbuirt and Griggs were arrested after the girl’s mother recognized them, police said.

When officers arrived, they found the two sitting at East Markham Street and River Market Avenue, and while patting down Griggs, one of the officers found a camera reported stolen with the purse, the report said.

When asked about the camera, Shewbuirt responded that “she found it in a purse last night,” the report said. Officers then found Shewbuirt had the purse and returned the girl’s property, including a debit card and her mother’s credit card, which Shewbuirt later admitted to “fraudulently using,” the report said.
