— Woman arrested in arm stabbing

A North Little Rock woman was arrested Thursday after police say she stabbed a woman who sold her what she thought was crack cocaine.

Kimberly Smith, 47, of 5318 Wood St. told police she bought “three crumbs” of what she believed to be crack cocaine from Kalee Lasher, but discovered it was not what she thought it was after injecting it.

According to an arrest report, Lasher opened her door and Smith struck her in the face and stabbed her in the arm with a kitchen knife. The wound, according to the report, was minor.

Smith was located and arrested at her house at 11:40 p.m. and charged with second-degree battery. She told police about buying the “crumbs” and that she went back to Lasher’s house to “get my money back.”

Smith was held at the Pulaski County jail Sunday in lieu of a $2,500 bond.

England man held in NLR crashes

North Little Rock police arrested a man Thursday they say used his pickup to force another truck off the road, causing it to flip over in a ditch, and then hit a motorcyclist while trying to flee the area.

According to an arrest report, Cleveland Matherine, 43, of 14515 Trey Lane in England struck a truck driven by Danny Morris several times with his vehicle, causing Morris to lose control of his vehicle and flip over. Morris and his passenger, Kelsey Burnam, were both injured.

Matherine was arrested at 1:15 p.m. at 1100 E. Broadway in North Little Rock. According to the police report, “Matherine admitted to causing the car accident and leaving the scene without checking for injury.”

According to a second arrest report, Matherine also “admitted” to striking a motorcycle driven by Harold Boals on Mc-Cain Boulevard and “forcing it into oncoming traffic in an attempt to flee the area.”

The report did not specify the exact location of either crash, nor did it specify whether Boals was hurt.

Matherine was held at the Pulaski County jail Sunday in lieu of a $17,500 bond.
