Elliott to address Political Animals

— State Sen. Joyce Elliott will address the Political Animals Club of Little Rock at its meeting Thursday at the Grand Hall of the Governor’s Mansion.

Open to the public, the meeting is to run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., said club Chairman Steve Ronnel. The mansion is at 1800 Center St. in Little Rock. Space is limited, reservations are required, and there is a charge of $18 at the door.

Elliott is the Democratic nominee for the 2nd Congressional District seat being vacated by U.S. Rep. Vic Snyder, a Democrat from Little Rock. In the Nov. 2 general election, Elliott faces Republican nominee Tim Griffin and Lance Levi, an independent. All three candidates are from Little Rock.
