WEDDINGS: LEAH LOUISE BIENVENU DR. BRANDON CLAY EVANS

— Wedding vows were exchanged by Leah Louise Bienvenu and Dr. Brandon Clay Evans at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 19, in Pavilion in the Park. Laura Anderson Jones officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Lana and James Bienvenu, 100 Beau Vue Terrace, and the granddaughter of Lena and the late Lawrence Pritchard and Eboo and the late Caro Bienvenu, all of St. Martinsville, La.

Parents of the bridegroom are Sherry and Carl Evans of Lawton, Okla. He is the grandson of Hazel and the late Buddy Knox and the late Vinne Ruth Shelton, all of Oklahoma.

The ceremony site was decorated with glass cylinders holding trailing orchids, calla lilies and hydrangeas in shades of white and blush. Music was by Jarboe String Quartet.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory tulle strapless gown with a pleated bodice and a full skirt extending into a semicathedral-length train. She carrieda bouquet of peonies, roses and freesia.

Annie Marie Bienvenu served as her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Hollie Domingue of Denton, Texas, aunt of bride; Marcy Evans of Sunnyvale, Calif., sister of the bridegroom; Tracey Smith of Texarkana; Emily Henderson of Conway; Lindsey McCray and Brooke Jackson, both of Little Rock; Becky Cole of Cabot; and Jennifer Bridges of Bryant.

They wore champagne-colored satin strapless gowns with asymmetrical pleating and A-line skirts, and carried smaller versions of the bridal bouquet.

Junior bridesmaids were Claire and Reece Domingue of Denton, Texas, and Neveah Bienvenu of Little Rock, daughter of the bride.

Flower girls were Jaycee Boudreaux of St. Martinville and Katelynn Taylor of Sulphur, Okla. Ring bearers were Luke and Lee Smith of Texarkana.

Serving as best man was RickVanya of Norman, Okla. Groomsmen were Beau Bienvenu of Little Rock, brother of bride; Michael Evans of Lawton, brother of the bridegroom; Dr. Gregory Head, Dr. Joseph Ghanami and Christopher Waltz, all of Little Rock; Lee Jeffries and Sky Ryland, both of Edmond, Okla.; and Dr. Marcus Smith of Texarkana.

The buffet at a reception, also in Pavillion in the Park, held a collection of crystal and glass vases filled with orchids, calla lilies, hydrangeas and floating candles.

The bride has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She is a nurse practitioner.

The bridegroom received a bachelor’s degree in zoology and his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma at Norman. He is a fifth-year neurosurgery resident.

The couple will honeymoon in Las Vegas and plan to transfer there in July.
