LITTLE ROCK — A woman died after being struck by a train late Saturday evening in the College Station community of Pulaski County, a sheriff’s office spokesman said.
The woman was attempting to cross the tracks on foot at a crossing near 3M and Carter roads shortly before 11 p.m. when she was struck by the train, which was traveling northwest, said Pulaski County sheriff’s office spokesman Lt. Carl Minden.
The woman was taken to UAMS Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead late Saturday or early Sunday, Minden said. Authorities hadn’t confirmed the woman’s identity as of Sunday evening, Minden said.
