Marching Band Fundraiser
CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas Marching Band will perform its fourth annual band extravaganza at 3 p.m. in Reynolds Performance Hall. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students college age and younger. George Mayo will be the master of ceremonies for the show, which will feature drum-line solos; flag twirling, featuring senior twirler Kerry Hawkins; and solos from other band sections as well. Christmas Potluck
PETIT JEAN — The Arkansas River Valley Audubon Society will meet for an early Christmas Potluck at 6:30 p.m. at the CCC Barracks in Petit Jean State Park. The meat, drinks and paper products will be furnished. Bring sides and desserts. Visitors are welcome. A sign will be posted indicating where to turn to go to the CCC Barracks. Chamber Music
CONWAY — The Hendrix College Music Department will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. in Reves Recital Hall at Hendrix College. The concert is free and open to the public. Brass Choir
RUSSELLVILLE — Arkansas Tech University’s department of music will present a Fall Brass Showcase featuring the University Brass Choir. Under the direction of Gary Barrow, professor of music, the concert will begin at 2:30 p.m. in Witherspoon Auditorium. Admission is free, and the public is invited to attend. Orchestra Concert
CONWAY — The Hendrix College Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Karen Griebling, will present Pergolesi and Pulcinella at 7:30 p.m. in Reves Recital Hall. Joining the orchestra will be internationally acclaimed opera singers Jerry Biebesheimer, baritone, and Arlene Biebesheimer, soprano, with the Hendrix College Dance Ensemble’s La Ronda Mitchell. Santa in the Park
CLINTON — Santa will be in the Clinton City Park from 1-3 p.m. The Christmas parade will start at 1 p.m.; then Santa will give a gift to children 12 and younger. Bring an unwrapped gift and a nonperishable food item and receive a free hot dog and drink. This is the seventh annual Van Buren County Toy Run. Parade Deadline
RUSSELLVILLE — The entry deadline for the 2010 Russellville Christmas Parade is noon Monday, Nov. 29. Entries will not be accepted after the deadline. Parade entry forms are available at the Russellville Recreation and Parks Department office, 1000 E. Parkway, or may be downloaded at www.eteamz.com/rsvlparksdepartment.
