LUTHER “BUD” FELTS, formerly of Benton, Arkansas departedthis life on November 21, 2010. He was born on February 22, 1934 in Sidney, Arkansas to the late Luther W. and Tennie Felts. Luther was a member and Elder of the WestminsterPresbyterian Church of Little Rock, Arkansas. He served in the United States Navy and was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Luther worked as an Office Machine Technician for over 40 years with DA Sparks Inc., Lanier Worldwide, N&D Inc., and Quality Business Machines until he retired due to health problems in 1999. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Luther was also a true friend to all that passed through his life. He had a heart of gold. He will be truly missed and well remembered by all.

Mr. Felts is preceded in death by two sisters, Alene High and Emogene Enochs; two brotherin-laws, Ray High and Lawrence Enochs.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Janice (Liz) Felts; daughter, Wendy Hough; granddaughter, Laura Courtney both from Zwolle, Louisiana, they were both a great blessing to his life; sister-in-law, Florence Glover of Camden, Arkansas and a host of nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends who all loved him and will miss him dearly.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 26, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home with Elder Art Ritter officiating with burial at Pinecrest Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

ROBERT A. HALL SR. of Little Rock, Arkansas went to hisheavenly home on Monday, November 22, 2010. Bob was born on August 11, 1925 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He was a graduate of North Little Rock High, Ouachita Baptist College andSouthwestern Theological Seminary. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Merchant Marines. Bob was a wonderful husband and father who served the Lord all of his life. He was the minister of music and education at various churches in Arkansas, Tennessee and Texas. He had a second career as a funeral director for Roller Funeral Homes until 2010.

Bob is survived by three daughters, Mary Langston, Patricia Hall and Joy Johnson and one son Robert A. Hall Jr.; two sisters, Betty Stokes and Lynell Pack; four grandchildren, Chris Langston, Peter Langston, Kelley Willingham and Dustin Johnson; four great-grandchildren, Kyle, John, Emily and Allie Langston and a host of other family and friends.

ARKADELPHIA - Dr. Eugene G. Kuyper, age 91, of Arkadelphia,died November 23 at Courtyard Gardens. He was born on May 25, 1919 in Sioux Center, Iowa, the son of the late Christina and Cornelius Kuyper. He served in the U.S. Armyin World War II, after which he attended college and received a Master of Music degree from the University of Nebraska.

Mr. Kuyper was a professor of voice at Henderson State University for 29 years until his retirement in 1981. During his career at Henderson he began the tradition of the Madrigal Singers. He participated in many community and state musical productions including the Little Rock Opera Theater. He also enjoyed singing with a local barbershop quartet. He was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church in Arkadelphia where he was a member of the choir for 58 years including 25 years as choir director.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Kuyper, a sister, Maria DeWit, and a grandchild, Krystal Kuyper.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Adrianna, and five children: Judy Jacob and husband Charles of Little Rock, David Kuyper and wife Alice of Magnet Cove, Lee Kuyper and wife Pauline of Durham, N.C., Clark Kuyper and wife Pam of Arkadelphia, and Karen Poe and husband Bill of Marietta, Ga., 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-greatgrandchild.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, November 26 at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home, 517 Clay St. in Arkadelphia. CAMDEN - Lonnie Milton Hall II, Master Sergeant, United StatesAir Force (Ret.), 61, of Camden, Ark., died Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Saint Vincent’s Infirmary in Little, Rock, AR. He was born April 4, 1949 in Somerville, N.J., the son of Lonnie M. Hall and Agnes Johnston Hall.

During his military career of 24 years, 1968 through 1992, he received several decorations and awards including the Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with “V” for valor and seven devices, and the Vietnam Service Ribbon. After his military service he worked for the Camden Fairview School System in Camden, Ark. Known to many family members as “Poppy.”

He leaves behind his wife, Lynn Long Hall; three daughters, Jennifer D. Hall, Tessa Meeks and Miranda Jeeninga; two granddaughters, Jaz’myn Bates and Hannah Jeeninga; two grandsons, Christopher Shewmaker and Sean Jeeninga; his father, Lonnie, residing in Grand Junction, Colo.; and one brother, Robert W. Hall of Glendale, Ariz.; and many friends during his life.

DeWITT - Clara Davis Grissom, 98, of DeWitt died Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at her home. She was born at Town Creek, Alabama, on May 10, 1912 to William W. and Willie Davis.

FORREST CITY - Aubrey L. “Sonny” Harris Jr., age 84, of Forrest City, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2010. He was born December 13, 1925, in Forrest City, Arkansas, to the late Pauline Harrell and Aubrey Lee Harris. Mr. Harris was a graduate of Forrest City High School and the University of Arkansas. While at the University he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He served in the Naval Air Corps during World War II. On March 26, 1949, he married Marilyn Causey.

Mr. Harris worked with his father and later took over Merchants Specialty Wholesale Grocery. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Forrest City, the Cattlemen’s Association, and the Hardin Point Hunting Club. He was a 32nd Degree Mason. He served twenty-nine years on the Forrest City City Council.

Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his son, Ben Boren Harris. He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Marilyn C. Harris; sons, Aubrey L. “Al” Harris III, and wife, Nell, of Little Rock, John W. Harris, and wife, Sue, of Forrest City, Thomas Joe Harris, and wife, Becky, of Fort Worth, Texas; six grandchildren, Aubrey L. Harris IV, and wife Andrea, Gibson B. Harris, John W. “Will” Harris Jr., and wife, Laura, Christie Marie Harris, Mary Joni Shaffer, and husband, Wayne, and Marilyn Elizabeth Patton, and husband, Patrick; and four greatgrandchildren, Lily Harris, Maya Cortez, Ava Shaffer, and Audrey Patton.

Mr. Harris enjoyed hunting with his sons and grandsons. He and Marilyn spent many happy weekends at East Lake and Hardin Point. In later life he became a part time cattleman working on his farm. We will remember him as a wonderful husband and devoted father and grandfather.

GRAPEVINE - James Taylor Barbre of Grapevine, Arkansas, was born February 9, 1955, at Pine Bluff, the son of the late James H. and Mae Taylor Barbre. He was a member, and former Sunday School teacher, at Pine Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and was employed at Kohler in Sheridan. Taylor was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed gemology, computers, and motorcycles. He had a giving heart and donated his hair to the “Locks of Love” foundation which provides hairpieces for young people who have lost their hair due to illness. Mr. Barbre died Tuesday, November 23, 2010, near Grapevine, Arkansas, as the result of an automobile accident, at the age of 55.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Debbie Kelley Barbre of the home; sons, Jeremy and Drew Barbre, both of Bryant; sister, Amy Barbre Wallace of South Carolina; numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends. Taylor is also survived by his constant “shadow", Ellie his dog.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, November 26, 2010, at Davis Cemetery in the Lazy Bend Community, near Grapevine. GURDON - Onis L. Williams, age 67, of Gurdon, formerly of Mena, died Tuesday, November 23, 2010. He was born June 2, 1943, the son of Lewis and Viola Smith Williams. He was a retired body repairman for Gildner Auto Group.

He was preceded in death by his father Lewis Williams and his fiancee Judy Garcia. Survivors include one son, Jeff Williams of Benton; four daughters, Karen Cooper and Jessica Garrison, both of Arkadelphia, Anita Williams of Benton and Gabrielle Pyle of Bismarck; his mother, Viola Williams of Arkadelphia; two brothers, Larry Williams of Arkadelphia and Ralph Williams of Gurdon; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

NEWPORT - Mrs. Pauline (Brown) Parnell Holcombe, 79, of Newport died Tuesday, November 23, 2010. She was born August 22, 1931, at Goodwin, Arkansas, the daughter of Tom and Allie (Bridges) Brown. Mrs. Holcombe was first and foremost a mother, and a homemaker. She especially enjoyed taking care of her family and fishing.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd B. Parnell, Sr.; her second husband, C.T. “Punch” Holcombe; one brother, Buddy Brown; two sisters, Ruth Hemenway and Maxine Bowen; and her parents. Mrs. Holcombe is survived by two sons, Floyd B. Parnell Jr. of Swifton, Arkansas, and Larry Thomas Parnell of Newport, Arkansas; and two grandchildren, Thomas Laird Parnell and Floyd B. Parnell, III “Trey.”

PORTLAND - Joann Taylor Tuggle, age 76, of Portland, died Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at her home. She was born November 5, 1934, in Gideon, Missouri, the daughter of the late Herchel Alvin Taylor and Louise Monville Taylor and was a homemaker and member of Portland United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, by a baby sister, Celia Diane Taylor, by her step-mother, Louise Hughes and by a stepbrother, Bob Hughes. Survivors are her husband, R.H. Tuggle of Portland; three daughters, Paula Tuggle Bollich and husband, Damian, of Jones, Louisiana, Patti Tuggle of Portland, and Andi Tuggle Smith of Portland and son-in-law, Brad Smith of Jennie; a brother, Alvin Dale Taylor and wife, Rita, of Flint, Michigan; a step-brother, Wayne Hughes of Clarkton, Missiouri; two sisters, Mary Lou Moylan of Clarkton, Missouri, and Debbie Scott and husband, Vernon, of Gideon, Missouri; five step-sisters, Shirley, Phyllis, Judy, Sandy, and Peggy; and five grandchildren, Brandon Bollich, Matthew Bollich, Larkin Tuggle, Carlee Smith and Cody Smith; a step-grandson, Dane Pardon; and many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death byher husband, Mack Pickard. Dora was a member of Cabot United Methodist Church in Cabot, as well as the VFW Auxiliary and was retired from the Arkansas Public Employees Association.

She is survived by two daughters, Rosemary Teasley of Dallas, Texas, and Nina Kay Gaddy of Germantown, Tennessee; one son, James Thomas (Tom) Pickard of Cabot, Arkansas; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and her best friend, Maureen Lee of Blodgett, Texas.

SAN ANTOINO, Texas - Ann Thompson Castleberry, age 75, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Hermitage, Arkansas, died Friday, August 27, 2010. She was born April 4, 1935, in Hermitage, Arkansas, a daughter of the late L. Quinney Thompson and Faye Childs Thompson. She was a health care worker and a member of University Methodist Church.

WEBSTER, Texas - Connie Sue Sarah Van Horn Halliburton, 75, formerly of Pine Bluff and Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2010, at Triumph Hospital in Webster, Texas. She was born August 19, 1935, in Portia, Arkansas, a daughter of Frank Theodore and Mollie Kathryn Oldham Van Horn. She was reared and educated in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School. She also graduated from Westark College, which is now the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith. She had worked as a credit manager for a doctor’s office and later as a nurse for Pocola Nursing Home, Pocola, Oklahoma, retiring as an administrator in 2001. Shewas a member of both the First United Methodist Church in Pine Bluff and Charleston. She also was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. After moving to Charleston, she stayed active in the community. Her husband, Charles Halliburton, worked as a Pharmacist for Medi-Sav Pharmacy. Mrs. Halliburton and her husband enjoyed traveling throughout the world and enjoyed several years of seeing the United States, while traveling by recreational vehicle.

Survivors include a son, Christopher Hughen, and his wife, Christine Ann Halliburton, of Manvel, Texas; and another son and his family, including grandsons, Andrew Charles Halliburton of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Trawick Hales Halliburton of Rogers, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Burns Halliburton; her parents; two brothers, Thurmon and Clarington Van Horn.
