LITTLE ROCK — Brandi Tate - among the latest in a growing lineup of up-and-coming, Arkansasbased fashion designers - made her debut with a show of her BNicole line Nov. 12 at the Arkansas Community Arts Cooperative in Little Rock. In a production worthy of New York Fashion Week, the Korto Momolu protege displayed fall/winter 2010 pieces ranging from sleek and low-key to bold and dramatic.
Guests dined on horsd’oeuvres provided with the help of Carla Nichols and Shalon Nichols of Nicole Raye Catering and Miah’ and Robert Nichols of Simply Blissful Desserts and Catering of Dublin, Ohio. Musical entertainment was provided by Onyx.
On hand to admire Tate’s apparel were her parents, Valeria and James Tate; Momolu and her daughter, Alyce Briggs; Teresia Dupins, Amanda Dupins,Latrina Dupins, Nicki and Keith Barnes, Carolyn Colclough, Tonia Salas, Brittany Lawson; and Adryane Robinson.
