Centennial Bank in LR robbed

— Authorities are looking for a man who robbed a Centennial Bank in Little Rock early Monday afternoon.

Little Rock Police Department spokesman Lt. Terry Hastings said the man walked into the South University branch, handed the teller a note indicating he was armed and demanding money and then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. He reportedly left on foot north from the area.

No weapon was actually shown and no one was injured.

Hastings said the robber is described as a black man who was wearing black pants and a plaid, army green coat.

It happened just before 12:45 p.m. at the Centennial location near UALR, 2900 S. University Ave.

Surveillance is expected to be released later Monday, Hastings said.
