Jingle all the way to the finish line

— The Arthritis Foundation continues its Christmas tradition of fundraising 5Ks with the 19th annual Craig’s Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Runners and walkers will gather at the Little Rock River Market pavilions, and many will wear festive costumes, matching team shirts and jingle bells on their shoes during this 3.1-mile run and walk.

If you plan to run, think about tying your bells on tightly, as a favor to your slower racing pals. It’s no fun to slip on a jingle bell that flew off somebody’s shoes - especially since that somebody is already really far ahead of you and likely to win all the awards and also gobble up most of the post-race food.

Registration costs $25 ($15 if you don’t want a T-shirt).

“Craig” is, of course, KTHV-TV, Channel 11, newscaster Craig O’Neill, who always shows up ready to tease and please the crowd.
