Arkansas defensive front vs. Alabama offensive line

Perhaps the single biggest improvement for Arkansas in 2010 has been its defensive line. A solid rotation among tackles Alfred Davis, D.D. Jones, Byran Jones and Lavunce Askew has occupied blockers, provided a strong interior front against the run and helped mess up pockets. Veteran ends Damario Ambrose, Jake Bequette and Tenarius Wright put forth a strong conference debut with three sacks and enough quarterback hurries todisrupt Georgia’s Aaron Murray. They’ll face an Alabama front wall that returns left tackle James Carpenter, center William Vlachos and guard Barrett Jones. The other starters are underclassmen Chance Warmack and big-time freshman D.J. Fluker. The Crimson Tide lead the SEC in total offense, but they’ve allowed 5 sacks. Arkansas will have to get Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy out of his comfort zone to have a chance, and it starts up front.
