LITTLE ROCK — A 52-year-old woman died Thursday after her car ran off Arkansas 46 in Sheridan and struck a tree, according to a preliminary Arkansas State Police fatal crash report.
About 3 p.m., Deborah Thornburg of Sheridan was driving a 2001 Dodge Stratussouth on the highway north of South Red Street when she ran off onto the shoulder, pulled back onto the road and crossed both lanes of traffic, the report said.
The car then went into a yard where it struck the tree, the report said. Thornburg died at the scene, the report said.
