Four Heritage players sign

Four Rogers Heritage athletes signed today to play college football this fall, despite the winter weather that has slammed Northwest Arkansas.

Jimmy Britton (6-2, 214) will play for Navy, while defensive tackle Reid Schatzman (6-3, 290) signed with Pittsburg State, quarterback Reed Brown (5-11, 190) signed with Missouri S&T and kicker Hayden Severs signed with Arkansas Tech.

Brown will also play baseball at Missouri S&T in Rolla, Mo.

All four were scheduled to sign at a ceremony on Wednesday afternoon at Heritage High, but there was no ceremony since school is not in session because of the winter weather.

But they still signed and sent in their letters of intent Wednesday morning, Heritage assistant coach Paul Wilson said.
