Several events around state canceled, moved

Snow and ice Sunday has resulted in several Monday events being canceled.

One event that will still take place is the barbecue at Cajun's Wharf as part of the Beebe inaugural events this week.

Those events canceled or changed include:

— North Little Rock City Council meeting is canceled. All items will be on the agenda for the next meeting on Jan. 24.

— Selection of jurors in the Gary Dunn trial has been rescheduled for Tuesday at 9 a.m.

— The inaugural address for Gov. Mike Beebe will be moved inside the State Capitol. Beebe will take the oath of office and give the address on the second floor Rotunda Room from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday. All other events related to the swearing in will be as planned.

— Paint the Town Red: Jeans, Boots & BBQ has been postponed, along with a reception that was to honor Lt. Gov. Mark Darr at the Robinson Center Music Hall. Both events will be rescheduled.

— Mike Ross will no longer be presenting funds to the Miller County Public Water Authority, but the presentation will be rescheduled.

— Mike Ross will not be dedicating the new overpass in Prescott. The dedication will be rescheduled.

—LIHEAP Mass Intake Days set to begin Tuesday in Pulaski, Union, Columbia and Ouachita counties will be reset for a later date.
