The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department will hold a public involvement meeting from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday in the Fellowship Hall of First Christian Church.

Highway officials say the proposed project will widen the highway, also known as Cantrell Road, to five lanes from Mississippi Avenue eastward to Perryville Road.

The public will be allowed to view displays, ask questions or provide comments about the plans anytime during the scheduled hours.
