THE ROYAL TREATMENT

A dozen pretty princesses have a ball to help others

— No one turned into a pumpkin as 12 young princesses gathered Oct. 15 at Embassy Suites for the Cinderella Ball.

The fun was all in support of Safe Places, a treatment and intervention program for survivors of violence or abuse. The Princess Program teaches girls how to be advocates for safe homes, schools and communities.

Lisa and Ray Sheridan chaired the event, which started in front of the hotel. The girls had their pictures taken in a horse-drawn carriage fit for any Cinderella. Next, the party moved inside for dinner and dancing under twinkling stars. The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra Big Band provided the music.
