World Bank official schedules LR talk

— Markus Kostner, the social-development practice leader for the East Asia and Pacific Region at the World Bank, will speak Wednesday at the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service in Little Rock.

Kostner will lecture about taking a decentralized, inclusive approach toward development in countries affected by conflict.

Kostner joined the World Bank in 1999 as an economist. He has since held various positions, including coordinator of the World Bank’s work in conflict-affected countries in Africa, program coordinator for West Bank and Gaza, and adviser in the World Bank’s fragile and conflict-affected countries group.

Those attending the lecture from noon to 1 p.m. may bring lunches. Drinks will be provided.
