According to North Little Rock police spokesman Sgt. Terry Kuykendall, investigators were looking for Nickarlos Antwan Banks, 34, in connection with the Tuesday afternoon robbery of the Centennial Bank branch at 305 E. Broadway. There were multiple addresses listed for Banks, according to police.

Police said Banks walked into the bank, implied that he was armed and took an undisclosed amount of money before running from the bank.

Kuykendall said there were three arrest warrants for Banks, a parole absconder, in the robberies of two gas stations on Sunday and a Dollar General Store on Monday.

Little Rock detectives were unavailable for comment Tuesday night.

At 8 p.m. Sunday, a clerk at the Shell Superstop at 4100 W. Markham St. told police that a man wearing a black cloth around his mouth came in the store, pointed a gun at him and demanded money from the cash register. After taking the cash, the man then told the clerk to give him cigarettes, then changed his mind and ran out of the store.

Less than 20 minutes later, a clerk at the Site Store at 7320 Cantrell Road told police a man pointed a black handgun at him and demanded money. The robber took the cash and fled.

At 7:37 a.m. Monday, a clerk at the Dollar General Store at 9500 Satterfield Drive told police she was heading to her car, carrying two bank deposit bags, when a man placed an object against her back, grabbed one of the bags and the keys to the store, and ran away.

The robber was described as black, in his 30s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 155 pounds.

In the Shell Superstop robbery, he was described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

Witnesses to the Site Store holdup described the robber as wearing a black jacket with brown fur around the hood, jeans and white shoes. He was seen driving away in a white, late-1990s model Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

At the Dollar General, the robber was described as wearing a brown coat with a hood.

No arrests had been made late Tuesday.

Held up and shot, victim tells police

A man who was seen being pushed out of a car near a Little Rock hospital Sunday evening told police he had been robbed and shot on a street about a half-mile away, according to a police report.

Police found Jeffrey Campbell, 30, of North Little Rock lying on Kanis Road behind Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock at 8:30 p.m. Sunday. He had gunshot wounds to his left hip and right elbow.

A witness told police she heard an argument inside the vehicle and saw Campbell get thrown out of the passenger side.

Campbell told police he was walking along Kanis Road near Michael Drive when he was approached by three black men wearing all black who demanded his money, then attacked him when he refused to give it to them. He said the men grabbed his wallet and shot him twice.

Campbell said he then flagged down a motorist who took him to the hospital and dropped him off.

Campbell’s injuries were not considered life-threatening, police said. A hospital spokesman said she didn’t have any information about his condition Tuesday.
