Democratic Women Fundraiser CONWAY - The Faulkner County Democratic Women will hold a “Paint the County Blue” fundraiser reception from 6-8 p.m. at Michaelangelo’s Restaurant, 1117 Oak St. A $25 donation is suggested. Outdoor Movie and Trunk-or-Treat CONWAY - The Christian Car Club of Conway will sponsor a trunk-or-treat at 5 p.m. at the Village at Hendrix. There will be a bounce house and a disc jockey, and participants are encouraged to wear costumes. There will be a Kids Run at 6 p.m., presented by Soaring Wings Ranch. The Silver Moon Cinema outdoor movie program will show Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 at 7:15 p.m. Popcorn and drinks will be sold, and all proceeds will go to the Red Cross. SATURDAY Historical Marker Unveiling MORRILTON - A new historical marker will be unveiled at noon at Broadway Park, formerly Warren’s Cafe. The event is sponsored by the Warren children, the Arts Council of Conway County and the city of Morrilton. Downtown Fall Festival RUSSELLVILLE - The 20th annual Downtown Fall Festival will begin at 6:30 a.m. with the Friends of the Depot’s omelet breakfast at the American Legion Hut in downtown Russellville. Festival activities will include a chili cook-off, the “Tour de Pumpkin” bike ride, a silent auction, games, rides, arts and crafts, a 5K race and one-mile fun run, live entertainment and food. UPCOMING Fall Bazaar MAYFLOWER - The Mayflower United Methodist Women will hold their annual Fall Bazaar at 7 a.m. Nov. 5 at the church on Arkansas 89, one block west of Arkansas 365, near the elementary school. The sale will include fried pies (cooked in peanut oil), cakes, cookies and breads, home-preserved jams and jellies, and pickles and relishes. In addition, there will be Christmas gift wrapping, decorated boxes, ornamentsand collectibles, books, small appliances, clothing and more. All proceeds will go to local mission work. Retired Teachers Association CONWAY - The Faulkner County Retired Teachers Association will meet at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 15 in the Activity Center of First Baptist Church.
