— ARPreps.com Rankings for Week 9, Oct. 28:

Class 7A

1.) Bentonville (9-0, 6-0) — Mercy-ruled Springdale. Just another week for the Tigers.

2.) West Memphis (8-1, 6-0) — The Blue Devils made easy work of Jacksonville 53-7. With some other losses, they take a spot up.

3.) Conway (7-2, 5-1) — A 27-7 win over Russellville helps them move up.

4.) North Little Rock (8-1, 5-1) — Demolished Bryant 35-0, and it wasn't even THAT close. Welcome in.

5.) Har-Ber (7-2, 5-1) — Ran through Fayetteville by 21. Beating a previously ranked squad handily? That'll earn you a spot.

Class 6A

1.) Lake Hamilton (8-1, 6-0) — No jinx here. The Wolves win 47-13 over Texarkana and hold on to the no. 1 spot.

2.) El Dorado (8-1, 5-1) — Ran past Benton 48-7 and shows that last weeks loss wont affect them.

3.) Pine Bluff (6-3, 5-1) — A 55-8 win over McClellan doesn't seem like a lot, but the Zebras are peaking at the right time.

4.) Jonesboro (5-3, 4-2) — Huge might not be the right word for their 13-12 win over Marion. The Hurricane now have a confidence win heading into Week 10/playoffs.

5.) Searcy (7-2, 6-0) — Quietly, the Lions are having a solid year. Beat Little Rock Hall 46-21 on Friday night.

Class 5A

1.) Greenwood (9-0, 6-0) — Tonight, the Bulldogs needed to find out how good they really were against Greenbrier. They know now. The answer: very good.

2.) Camden Fairview (8-1, 6-0) — Virtually locked up the 5A-Southwest with a 42-14 win over Hot Springs.

2.) Greenbrier (8-1, 5-1) — The rankings can't drop the Panthers too far after losing to Greenwood. Why? Because honestly, the team they lost to is probably only one of three teams that can beat them in 5A.

4.) Batesville (7-2, 5-1) — A 56-20 win over Greene Co. Tech virtually assured the Pioneers of 5A-East title.

5.) Hot Springs Lakeside (8-1, 5-1) — Barely hung on against Arkadelphia 29-28. The win barely keeps them in the rankings.

Class 4A

1.) Pulaski Academy (9-0, 6-0) — Crushed Pulaski Robinson 41-14 and called off the dogs early. Seems to be happening a lot with Kevin Kelley's team.

2.) Heber Springs (9-0, 6-0) — Won their first conference title in 32 years with a 33-21 win over Clinton.

3.) Pottsville (8-0-1, 6-0) — A 40-18 win over Clarksville? The Apaches stay impressive within their conference every week.

4.) Ozark (8-1, 5-1) — This time, the 4A-1 team holds their spot, as opposed to when they played musical chairs with spot within the conference. A 28-20 win over Shiloh Christian does the trick.s

5.) McGehee (8-1, 6-0) — What's better than a win and locking up the 4A-8 Conference? Well, getting a first appearance in the rankings as a result, of course.

Class 3A

1.) Earle (9-0, 6-0) — Blasting teams has become Earle's calling card, this one a 56-8 thumping of Piggott.

2.) Harding Academy (8-1, 6-0) — Shutting out Brinkley 48-0 did nothing to lose the favor of the rankings for the Wildcats.

3.) Prescott (9-0, 6-0) — The Curley Wolves not only are quietly going undefeated, but they're also making sure they keep it legit, this time with a 48-21 win over Benton Harmony Grove.

4.) Arkansas Baptist (8-1, 5-1) — Beating Mayflower 49-7 says two things: 1.) The Eagles are a threat in the playoffs. 2.) The 3A-2 as a whole is weak outside of Baptist and Harding Academy.

5.) Rison (8-1, 6-0) — A 54-6 tagging of Smackover in a game some thought would be close shows Rison has very few weaknesses.

Class 2A

1.) Magazine (9-0, 6-0) — Some things in life just aren't fair. One of those things is the Rattlers in the 2A-4 Conference. Beat down Mountainburg 35-7.

2.) East Poinsett County (8-0, 6-0) — A few things are guaranteed this season, one is that EPC is going to run through the 2A-3. Romped Marked Tree 63-14 to lock up a conference title.

3.) Danville (8-1, 5-1) — Throttled Poyen 43-6 and doesn't show any signs of giving up that no. 2 seed in their conference behind Magazine.

4.) Carlisle (9-0, 6-0) — A weird non-conference game this late in the season. But the Bison still take care of a good McCrory team 18-6 to hold steady.

5.) Hazen (8-0-1, 6-0) — Won 32-7 over England. That sets up a showdown with Carlisle for the 2A-6 title this coming Friday.
