— EAST CENTRAL (OKLA.) 31, ARKANSAS TECH 16

RUSSELLVILLE - Behind running back Titus Mobley’s offensive performance, East Central (Okla.) got a conference road victory over Arkansas Tech. East Central (6-3, 4-2 Great American Conference) scored in every quarter and held Arkansas Tech (2-7, 1-3) without an offensive touchdown. The Wonder Boys scored on three field goals from Jorge Vasquez and a 66-yard kickoff return by A.J. Whitmore. It was Whitmore’s second consecutive game to record a kickoff return for a touchdown and third overall this season. His score came with 3:17 remaining in the game for the final points. Mobley scored two touchdowns - on a 1-yard run in the third quarter to give East Central a 21-6 lead and a 36-yard reception from Tyler Vanderzee in the fourth quarter for a 28-9 lead. He finished with 122 yards rushing on 19 carries and 54 receiving yards on 3 catches.

ARKANSAS-MONTICELLO 24, SE OKLAHOMA STATE 20

MONTICELLO - Arkansas-Monticello snapped its three-game losing streak by beating Southeastern Oklahoma State. Arkansas-Monticello (4-5, 2-2 GAC) led 7-0 after a 70-yard touchdown run by Nakita Myles at 8:04 in the first quarter. Southeastern Oklahoma State (2-5, 1-4 ) trailed 7-3 at halftime. Myles then added his second touchdown to begin the second half with a 5-yard run early in the third quarter. After a Ryan Crowley 39-yard field goal for a 17-6 lead, Southeastern Oklahoma State countered with 17 consecutive points, including two Don Brown rushing touchdowns, to take a 20-17 lead with four minutes remaining in the game. Arkansas-Monticello then sealed the victory with a 1-yard touchdown run from Greg Taylor with 1:36 left. Myles finished with a career-high 191 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns on 19 carries.

OUACHITA BAPTIST 31, HARDING 27

SEARCY - Ouachita Baptist remained undefeated in conference play with a road victory over Harding. Harding (3-6, 2-2 GAC) ended its comeback attempt at the OBU 23 when a pass was caught in bounds for a loss and time expired. Ouachita Baptist (6-2, 5-0 GAC) leads the league standings. After a 10-10 halftime score, Ouachita Baptist quarterback Casey Cooper gave the Tigers a 17-10 lead with a 1-yard touchdown run to begin the second half. Harding responded with a 29-yard field goal by Eddy Carmona and a 1-yard touchdown run by Kelvin Martin to take a 20-17 lead with less than a minute remaining in the third quarter. Ouachita Baptist responded with a 35-yard touchdown run by ChrisRycraw. Harding returner Donatella Luckett took the ensuing kickoff 88 yards for a touchdown before Chris Rycraw scored on a 2-yard touchdown run for the final score. Cooper led Ouachita Baptist with 161 yards rushing on 16 carries, while Rycraw totaled 111 yards and 3 touchdowns on 17 carries. Harding’s Kale Gelles finished with 102 yards on 21 carries.

SOUTH ALABAMA 28, HENDERSON STATE 3

MOBILE, Ala. - Henderson State did not score until the last minute of the third quarter in a nonconference loss to provisional NCAA Division-I member South Alabama. Eric Torres gave the Reddies (4-4, 3-1 GAC) their only points with a 30-yard field goal. South Alabama (5-3) scored all of their points in the first half on three touchdowns and three field goals. Henderson State had six turnovers in the loss and was limited to 210 yards of total offense. Kevin Rodgers was 14 of 30 passing for 118 yards for Henderson State. The Reddies have committed 17 turnovers over the past three games. South Alabama scored its first 10 points off of Reddie turnovers and led 28-0 at halftime.
