LITTLE ROCK — Skip Rutherford, dean of the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service, was honored Oct. 21 by HIPPY.
Rutherford didn’t have to walk far from his office at the Clinton School to the Clinton Presidential Center to pick up his award. He was joined at the event by his wife, Billie; his children, Blake Rutherford and Mary Jennings,and their spouses, Jessica Dean and Clark Jennings.
Ann Kamps, last year’s honoree, chaired the event. Guests included Dr. Chad Rodgers, who was also honored last year; Penny Pensak, chairman of the HIPPY USA board of Trustees; and Shanti and Bill Halter. Dr. Ruth Westheimer provided video remarks.
HIPPY - or Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters - helps parents prepare their children for school with books and curriculum activities.
