Bryant beat Benton for the sixth consecutive time Friday night, but the 21-14 final score was a far cry from last year's lopsided Salt Bowl victory.
A crowd of 23,586 watched at War Memorial Stadium as the two 6A rivals battled in what has been the high school game with the highest attendance ever recorded, 26,316 in 2009.
Bryant is now 9-2-1 since the game was named the Salt Bowl.
