ON TV CONTEST

— When it comes to TV teachers, are you a dunce or an honor student?

For the On TV Contest, the judge challenges you to name every TV teacher you can.

Your list can include any fictional TV character who was employed as a teacher by an institute of learning. Ross Geller of Friends? Absolutely. Jack Bauer of 24? Uh, no. The judge doesn’t care if he taught you how to interrogate suspects. If he didn’t work in an official capacity for a school, he doesn’t count.

Just be sure you include the characters’ names and the titles of the TV series in question.

Of course, the use of the word “fictional” means no “reality” participants are allowed.

And please number your list.

Send the entry (one per contestant), including your mailing address and daytime phone number, to Jennifer Nixon at 121 E. Capitol Ave., Little Rock, Ark. 72201; or by e-mail to jnixon@arkansasonline.com. Entries must be received no later than 3 p.m. April 9.

The reader with the longest list will get to choose from Judge Nixon’s Fabulous Prize Pile of TV DVD sets.

Who can enter: Anyone except the winners of the last contest, Karen Quigley of Sherwood and Gay Hargrove of North Little Rock, and Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and Northwest Arkansas Newspapers LLC employees.

Note to privacy- conscious readers: We do not compile lists of mail or e-mail addresses for evil plots or marketing purposes. All entries are destroyed after the judge has selected her winner.
