LITTLE ROCK — Gov. Mike Beebe says he spoke by phone with Arkansas Razorbacks football coach Bobby Petrino, who was injured Sunday night in a motorcycle wreck.
Beebe said Petrino seemed to be in good spirits.
"He sounded upbeat to me," Beebe said. "I was encouraged after hanging the phone up."
Petrino was hospitalized after the single-vehicle wreck in rural Madison County. He reportedly suffered injuries including multiple broken ribs, a chipped vertebra and a sprained neck.
