HOT SPRING/SALINE COUNTIES — Local residents in Hot Spring and Saline counties can receive valuable help at tax time from the Central Arkansas Development Council, which is offering free tax-preparation assistance.
In Hot Spring County, free tax preparation will be offered from 2-6 p.m. Tuesdays at the tax kiosk at the College of the Ouachitas tax site, 1 College Circle in Malvern.
In Saline County, free tax preparation will be offered at the following sites:
◊The Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library, 1800 Smithers Drive in Benton: The site is by appointment only and will be open through April 17. To make an appointment, call (501) 778-1133.
◊Mabel Boswell Memorial Library, 201 Prickett Road in Bryant: The site is by appointment only and will be open through April 17. To make an appointment, call (501) 778-1133.
