Man steals drugs from LR pharmacy

A man stole prescription drugs from a pharmacy early Saturday morning, police said.

A white male walked into the Walgreens at 111 North Bowman Road and perused the greeting card section before walking up to a pharmacist and demanding oxycodone and hydrocodone. The pharmacist placed some bottles of the medication on the counter, and the suspect put the bottles in a trash bag.

The suspect then fled the store on foot, heading east on Markham Park Drive.

The pharmacist did not see a gun, but the suspect claimed he had one and held his hand close to his pocket, according to the report. The man was wearing beige leather gloves, so authorities could not recover any fingerprints.
