Petrino supporters at a rally Monday.

A crowd of Razorback fans gathered Monday night at the University of Arkansas and declare their continued support for Bobby Petrino, who remains on paid administrative leave.

Matt Couch, an organizer of the event, said he and others do not condone some of Petrino's actions, such as lying about whether he had a passenger in a motorcycle accident last week.

"Winning is also an issue," he said.

Couch also said he thought the scandal would not have received so much attention were it at another school.

Leave the man alone. He has to our knowledge broken no laws. Whatever, if any, indiscretion is between he and his family to resolve. Get a life people

ProudVet - The marital indiscretion is between BMFP and his family. Questions about using taxpayer money to hire a mistress is the taxpayers' business. The effect his lies might have on his job performance is the business of everyone who contributes financially or otherwise to the Hog football program. It's going to be very interesting if the "previous inappropriate relationship" turns out to be with someone other than Dorring.

I wonder if Mrs. Petrino thinks winning is an issue when her husband is a loser on the home front. It's sad that no one seems to be thinking about her or their children and the humiliation they've suffered due to his moral indiscretions, lying, etc. Families should be forever--football is a passing fancy. What a shame that the people of this state care more about winning football games than they do about integrity, honesty, character, and honoring your wedding vows.

Sadly, most Arkansans, including the administrators of the University, care more about football than anything else. How about improving the facilities for students versus tearing down one of the major parking lots near campus to make room for two new PRACTICE fields? Well, you can be sure the good ol' U of A chose the practice fields.

Well he did leave the scene of an injury accident, during his press statement he stated he was the only one and we all found out that he was having an affair with one of his newly hired employee. Well he did not kill no one and as a football coach he is winning and bringing in alot of money!

WOW! Dozens of supporters.
I wonder what that woman is holding up. Were they giving away prizes to get people to show up?

From his statement, may I assume that in Couch's mind winning trumps honesty?

Packman in his first sentence and Tusk99 in the first part of his first sentence grasp the issue.

Those who place winning football games above integrity and honesty would do well to ponder the opening lines of Alma Mater about purity and one's soul.
