Brock Haman was released from his scholarship at Arkansas on Wednesday.
FAYETTEVILLE Brock Haman, a redshirt freshman linebacker, has been granted a scholarship release from Arkansas, according to interim head coach Taver Johnson.
Haman redshirted last season after undergoing surgery for an injured foot last August. He signed with the Razorbacks in 2011 from Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, Ariz.
A Scout.com report Wednesday stated Haman was speaking with Arizona State coach Todd Graham about potentially transferring to that program.
No reason was given for Haman's decision to leave Arkansas and a phone call seeking comment was not returned.
The university fired head coach Bobby Petrino last Tuesday.
