'The Lucky One' follows tired template

If you’ve seen one movie based on a Nicholas Sparks novel (his books include A Walk to Remember, The Notebook and The Last Song), you’ve already seen The Lucky One.

And chances are excellent you’ve also seen his oft-told story delivered better, so writes our review in tomorrow’s MovieStyle.

As in all Sparks’ tales, a troubled loner will find love and a spiritual awakening, and at least one person will die a painful, horrific death.
