Firefighters find body in burning SUV

Police are investigating a man's death as a homicide after he was found in his burning vehicle last night.

Firefighters responded to 27 Point West Circle around 10:14 last night after neighbors heard a smoke detector going off and called the fire department, according to Sgt. Cassandra Davis, spokesman for Little Rock police.

When firefighters arrived, they found Wesley Burris, 41, dead inside his Honda SUV, which was burning in his garage, Davis said.

There was minimal fire damage to the house.

Police are investigating the death as a homicide and have not identified any suspects or a motive yet, Davis said. Police are not revealing the cause of death at this time.
