LITTLE ROCK — Cindy Jones-Nyland
Occupation: Executive vice president of marketing and resource development at Heifer International. Our mission has been near and dear to my heart since high school. I feel like I have been given an amazing blessing to be part of the team at Heifer.
Where I live: We live in Woodlands Edge. We recently moved from the Dallas area and found this great neighborhood in west Little Rock. We love it.
My favorite space: Definitely our kitchen. It’s warm and inviting and makes you want to stay awhile.
Why: Some of my favorite memories of childhood are from my mom’s kitchen. I also loved my grandma’s kitchen. It’s where everyone gathered. I still love the warmth and love that radiates from the kitchen. My daughter is only 2 and she is already cracking eggs and loves to bake. Cooking is a stress relief for me and adds such richness to our lives. Our kitchen definitely represents what that means to me, whether that is coffee early in the morning or dinner and a glass of wine late at night.
If I could change one thing to improve this space, I would: Add a pizza oven. I love the idea of the crusty Naples-style pizza, and what a fun thing to have in your kitchen.
