NLR church hit with white-supremacist graffiti

The Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church in North Little Rock was attacked Monday by vandals who sprayed white supremacist-themed graffiti on the building, the Pulaski County sheriff's office said Tuesday.

Deputies were dispatched Monday night to the church at 26622 Arkansas 365 North in North Little Rock at 8:45 p.m. Monday. There, the officers found that white-supremacist graffiti had been drawn in white paint "all over" the north side of the building, a sheriff's office report states.

The report states that the letters "KKK" and a swastika symbol were painted on the building, along with symbols referred to as "lightning bolts" and a "stormfront cross."

The damage to the church was estimated at about $8,000 worth.
