Tree-trimming shuts U.S. 70 lane

Crews trimming tree limbs on U.S. 70 in Garland County will require a lane closure this week, Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department officials said Thursday.

The work, located in a passing zone near Ten Mile Creek, will require the westbound, outside lane to be shut Thursday and Friday, the department said.

The closure is scheduled between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day.

The department urges caution among drivers passing through the area.
