NORMAN, Okla. — Norman police say a man who allegedly resisted arrest has died after officers used a stun gun on him.
Police said the Oklahoma Highway Patrol asked for assistance early Sunday after a naked man was involved in a car accident. Police Chief Keith Humphrey said the man, 66-year-old George Morris of Oklahoma City, refused to communicate with officers and tried to walk across Interstate 35.
Humphrey said officers used a stun gun to gain control of Morris.
Morris was taken to a Norman hospital where he later died. Humphrey said the cause of death is not yet known.
The death remains under investigation.
