Arkansas Democrat-Gazette/WILLIAM MOORE Paul Haynes speaks during a press conference after accepting the job as defensive coordinator for the Arkansas Razorback football team Monday, December 12, 2011 at the Broyles Center in Fayetteville.

— Paul Haynes is expected to be named head coach at his alma mater Kent State on Tuesday, according to multiple reports.

Arkansas' defensive coordinator in 2012, Haynes would be the second Razorbacks assistant coach to accept a head coaching position this off-season and fourth since last December. Paul Petrino was named head coach at Idaho earlier this month.

Haynes joined Arkansas' staff last December prior to the team's game against Kansas State in the Cotton Bowl. The Razorbacks finished the 2012 season ranked No. 12 in the Southeastern Conference in total defense and scoring defense.

Prior to his stint with the Razorbacks, Haynes spent seven seasons as an assistant coach at Ohio State. He was a Kent State assistant coach in 1999 and 2000.

Arkansas named Chris Ash as its defensive coordinator last week. Ash was a co-defensive coordinator alongside Charlie Partridge the last two seasons at Wisconsin. Partridge was named the Razorbacks' defensive line coach over the weekend.
